Join us as a Housekeeping Executive in Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium. You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. Because of this vital role, we are looking for someone who can

  • Works with Executive Housekeeper in the preparation and management of the Department’s budget.
  • Supervise the implementation of housekeeping standards and procedures in relation to:
  • Bedroom service
  • Bathroom service
  • Valet service
  • Cleaning service
  • Linen maintenance
  • Recommended changes to these standards and training needs on an ongoing basis
  • Solve employee grievances
  • Ensure consistency within the department
  • Works with Superior and Human Resources on manpower planning and management needs
  • Open and close the shift and ensure effective shift hand over
  • Distribution and collection of keys
  • Management of all incoming and outgoing calls
  • To ensure staff in housekeeping annual leave and public holiday leave are cleared as per schedule.
  •  Does interview and counseling of staff and carry out performance appraisal of staff annually
  • Maintain a current and thorough knowledge of all housekeeping systems
  • Perform Room allocations and public area assignments
  • Perform Room inspections as well as public area inspection
  • Prioritise arrival rooms and VIP rooms inspection
  • Liaise with Front Office for guest and hotel requirements as well as group arrivals requirements
  • Ensure guest valet is processed and delivered in a timely manner
  • Co-ordinate special projects (eg site rooms, vermin control, window and carpet cleaning, room inventories)
  • Manage all special requests made by guests
  • Management of lost property for the hotel
  • Ensure you have complete knowledge of room types, layouts and facilities
  • Manage storage areas
  • Maintain adequate stock levels
  • Complete stock takes as required
  • Maintain stock levels
  • Conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known
  • Close liason with Engineering department on Perpetual Preventive Management (PPM) program daily.
  • To carry out monthly checklist for guest room condition and status in terms of furnishing and fittings.
  • To ensure the periodical cleaning schedule for both guest rooms and public area are duly carried out.

In addition, you should have the following qualifications and skills that we are looking for:-

  • High School or Diploma in Hotel Administration, Hotel Management or equivalent, with 2 years’ related experience in a similar capacity
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • A passion for the service and hospitality industry
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Adaptable, determined and someone who thrives in a fast paced environment
  • Proactive, highly motivated and has excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
  • A people-oriented individual with strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
